Global Medical Affairs Manager Hepatology (m/f/d)
Your tasks
Falk Global Medical (GMED) bridges clinical development and commercial. We translate clinical science and communicate it externally and internally. GMED Affairs managers are focusing on the market, in permanent contact with HCPs, payers and patients.
We are looking for you: a healthcare enthusiast who is eager to complete the GMED Affairs team and to actively jump on board during an important new chemical entity launch. You will report to the team lead of the GMED Affairs team and work very closely with your GMED Science tandem partner.
- Lead the medical TA strategy within the integrated development as well as indication teams
- Establish and manage relations with international KOLs, patient organizations, and healthcare bodies etc.
- Establish global medical advisory boards and conduct regular meetings with key external experts
- Give input and participate in scientific events and international stand-alone symposia of the company
- Translate scientific content and clinical data into a logical, scientifically balanced compelling medical story for appropriate audience (presentations, lectures, speaker decks, training courses, publications etc.)
- Conduct literature research, scientific deep dives, gather scientific competitive intelligence
- Review and approve as Scientific Service Officer global promotional, market research as well as medical communication material
- Support External Innovation (scouting, rating and medical pre- and due diligence evaluation of potential pipeline candidates)
- Collaborate closely with Science & Innovation, Falk Foundation, Market Access and Commercial as well as with the medical departments of our affiliates and the most important distribution partners
Your qualification
- Degree in natural sciences, preferably medicine, pharmacy or biology/biochemistry, doctorate desirable
- At least > 5 years of medical affairs experience in several pharma industry companies (Europe, US)
- Experience in medical pre-launch and launch activities
- Experience in gastroenterology and hepatology as well as in patient engagement is mandatory
- Very good written and spoken English and German, other foreign languages are highly appreciated
- Proficiency in MS 365 applications, scientific literature databases, Prism Graph Pad or Adobe Illustrator knowledge very welcome
- Clarity and accuracy are natural for you
- Independent and structured way of working, strong communication skills, empathetic and open-minded personality
- Willingness to travel and be present at the Freiburg HQ office on a regular basis
